It has been almost a year since I caught this 60 pound catfish in the Mississippi River. I have not bragged about it nearly as much as I should have. So, in order to be just a little more obnoxious about it, here’s the picture again!
Finally, I have an excuse to share another photo from my recent fishing trip on the Mississippi! In a recent article in the Commercial Appeal columnist Bryan Brasher wrote of his experience in catching a 53 pound blue catfish on the Mississippi River. He writes: “Landing that fish was absolutely one of the biggest thrills of my life.” I know exactly what he means! By the way, did I mention the catfish I caught weighed in at 60 pounds? Here is a picture of me and trophy catfish guide Gary Haynes holding the fish I caught.
My son and I enjoyed nine hours of fishing on the Mississippi River today. If we hadn’t caught a single fish we would have had a wonderful day just being together. But we did catch some, including the catfish pictured which weighed in at 60 pounds. Thanks to Gary Haynes for a great day. Click the link on his name for a look at his services.
