Bob Clark was born and raised in Memphis, TN (with brief stops in Phoenix, AZ and Los Angeles, CA) where he graduated from Harding Academy. He received degrees from Freed-Hardeman College and Harding University Graduate School of Religion. For 15 years Bob preached for a highly mobile, blue collar, ethnically diverse congregation in a large city on the East Coast. From July of 1997 until January 2010 Bob served as preaching minister for a multi-generational, white collar congregation in a small city in West Tennessee.
Bob wore lots of hats while being the only minister on staff at a congregation of several hundred. He wore a different hat while leading a staff of several ministers. In both congregations Bob was blessed by being able to work alongside his wife, Lourene.
In May 2010 Bob began his final ministry with a rebuilding congregation in the Midwest where he served as preaching minister until his retirement in April 2021. Bob’s goal in retirement is to lead a simple and quiet life, doing more listening than talking; however, he may post on this blog occasionally.
